Dances of Universal Peace （世界和平舞蹈，DUP）集結了來自世界各地不同傳統與文化中關懷地球、關懷人類、鼓勵內在和平的歌曲與舞蹈，協助我們與自身的和諧與自性連結。

DUP也透過召喚人們內心深處與自身、他人和地球深深連結的渴望來喚醒全球意識，支持我們建立更緊密的社群連結。

DUP 適合任何人的參與，只需帶上你的開放與純真童心，就能和我們一起浸潤在這份純粹的感動裡。

Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) weaves together songs and dances from diverse traditions and cultures worldwide, all rooted in the essence of caring for the Earth, humanity, and encouraging inner peace. These practices help us reconnect with our true essence and harmony within ourselves.

DUP also calls forth the deep yearning within us—to genuinely connect with ourselves, others and the Earth. By this awakening global awareness, it supports the creation of closer and more meaningful community bonds.

DUP is open to everyone. All you need is an open heart and a childlike sense of wonder to immerse yourself in this pure and heartfelt experience.

在嘉義舊監獄展開的這場活動，將成為此行 DUP 台灣巡迴旅程的最終站。

舊監獄是過往歷史的見證，承載著許多故事和情感，如同我們每個人都帶著各自的生命而來。

我們的過往，可能有些尚未能夠釋懷的過往、又或許藏著一些遺憾。

然而，有別於我們對於寬恕與告別的既定想像，這場在嘉義的Dances of Universal Peace，將聚焦於寬恕與新生，成為一個新的起點，並以「歡慶」為題，標誌著最終場的內在力量。

在新的一年開展之際，我們將為自己的生命注入新的活力，讓我們在寬恕中得到釋放，讓曾經的重擔隨著舞步飄散，迎接屬於我們的新生命與希望。

在這片有著深刻人文意涵的場域裡，我們將一起開展DUP的練習，以歡快的舞步釋放沉重的過往，並在心靈深處迎接全新的自己。

At the Chiayi Old Prison: Celebrating Forgiveness and Rebirth

This event, held at the historic Chiayi Old Prison, marks the final destination of the Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) Taiwan tour.

The Old Prison stands as a witness to history, preserving countless stories and emotions—just as each of us carrying the unique narratives of our own lives.

In our past, there may be unresolved chapters or lingering regrets.

However, breaking away from traditional notions of forgiveness and farewell, this DUP gathering in Chiayi focuses on forgiveness and rebirth. It is a chance to start anew, with "celebration" at its heart, symbolizing the profound inner strength of this final stop.

As the new year begins, we will breathe fresh vitality into our lives. In forgiveness, we find release; through songs and dances, we let go of the burdens of the past and welcome a renewed sense of hope and life.

Within this site, imbued with rich cultural significance, we will engage in the practices of DUP. Together, with joyous movements, we’ll let go of the weight of the past and embrace our awakened true selves with open hearts.

Special Note:

Participants are encouraged to register for a free guided tour offered by the Old Prison in the morning. This immersive exploration of its history and stories will deepen your understanding of the day’s themes and enhance your overall experience. Through this journey, participants will gain a profound appreciation for the concepts of "forgiveness and release."

⟢ 本工作坊為非營利性質，費用含：

1. 帶領導師旅費、場租、台灣巡迴工作坊相關交通、食宿花費；
2. 由志工提供現場口譯。

⟢ This Workshop is Non-Profit. The fee covers:

1. Facilitator's travel expenses
2. Venue rental
3. Transportation, accommodation, and meals during Taiwan's DUP tour.
4. Interpreting provided by volunteer

Arjun 生活在哥倫比亞安第斯山脈的亞特蘭提達（Atlántida）生態村，他在 2003 年與朋友和家人共同創建這個生態村，以全面實踐替代性和修復式方式的生活。

多年來，他一直與當地原住民社區、青年團體、社會運動和各類網絡合作，以共同創建更永續美好的未來。他是世界和平舞蹈（Dances of Universal Peace, DUP）網絡的資深導師，也是一名蘇菲導師，並深度投入美洲的原住民儀式和古老智慧，自 2003 年起一直擔任藥草師和儀式主持人。

Arjun lives in Atlantida Ecovillage, in the Andes of Colombia, a place he co-founded in 2003 with friends and family in order to fully embody the pursuit for an alternative and restorative way of life on the planet.

He has worked for years with local native communities, youth groups, movements and networks building a better and regenerative future. He is a senior mentor in the Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) International Network and a Sufi teacher, he is also very much involved in the native ceremonies and ancient wisdom of the Americas, serving as a medicine man and ceremony host since 2003.

在熙來人往的嘉義市東區裡，潛藏一股已被釋放的力量。

保有28座建築群的獄政博物館，現為國定古蹟，不僅是臺灣唯一完整保存的日治時期刑務所建築，更是世界僅存唯二的賓夕凡尼亞式建築。

黑白照片僅是過往的紀錄、舍房工場只是生活的痕跡；而今，此地打破了固守的疆界，喚起新生文化的參與。

我們不再被過去囚禁，而是清晰此刻新生的企盼：

還有什麼能比「我們此時此刻，是如此鮮活著！」更令人振奮而歡慶呢？

Amid the bustling streets of Chiayi City’s East District lies a force that has been awakened.

The Prison Museum, comprising 28 architectural structures, is a national historic site. It stands as Taiwan's only intact preservation of a penal institution from the Japanese colonial era and one of the world's only two remaining examples of Pennsylvania-style architecture.

Black-and-white photographs are merely records of the past, and the dormitories and workshops mark traces of life. Today, this space has transcended its boundaries, awakening new cultural participation.

We are no longer imprisoned by the past, but are vividly aware of our hope for renewal in this moment:

What could be more thrilling and celebratory than proclaiming,

“Here and now, we are vibrantly alive!”

場域說明：舊嘉義監獄為審查場所，並無執行死刑，故能量磁場較平靜祥和。

Note: The Old Chiayi Prison served as a site for trials with no executions carried out here, therefore, the energy field is more calm and peaceful.

DUP TAIWAN 2024 籌備團隊是由一群熱愛永續生活、擁抱社群力量並致力於共同創造的成員所組成。

她們期待這項融合了音樂、歌唱、舞蹈與連結內在自性的活動，能夠為參加者開啟輕盈、歡快卻又能夠與自身、他人及地球深度連結的歷程。

The DUP Taiwan 2024 organizing team is made up of individuals who are passionate about sustainable living, embrace the power of community, and are dedicated to co-creating meaningful experiences.

They hope that this event, which blends of music, singing, dance, and the connection to our inner selves, will offer participants a journey that is light and joyful, yet deeply connecting with themselves, others, and the Earth.

The team members are deeply committed to ecological and sustainable living, and they bring their expertise and practices in community-building, sustainable design, environmental education, and green transformation into the creation of this event.

From community facilitation, body-mind healing, sustainability design to nature education, the team's diverse talents reflect their creativity and respect for life as they radiate love and passion for the world, while inviting more people to join in the journey of exploring and fostering harmony with the Earth.
